I'd agree. Plus, being in the ACC's backyard is generally a bad thing unless you're talking about Florida. From a pure TV perspective, it's the western markets that the league can actually own outright without direct competition (e.g. San Diego with SDSU, Las Vegas, the state of New Mexico, etc.) that would seem to be more appealing. East Carolina's main value would seem to be that it could be an all-sports member that is geographically close enough to the other all-sports members and plays solid football.

But here's the thing. If with the Big East's money ECU explodes and becomes the best football team in NC- that becomes a major story. I'm not talking tv, but rather on the field.
