Evidence (and lack of evidence) arguments aside, the fact that this number is largely unchanged since the early 80's is significant.

Interestingly, the only group that's made any serious movement is the non-theistic group, with their proportion nearly doubling since 1982.

Other highlights:
- the majority of Republicans are creationists
- Independents and Democrats are nearly aligned in their beliefs
- belief in creationism is inversely correlated to education (duh!)
