the bleacher disaster was a PR move by UT

Those same bleachers were the ones used on a side of a mountain until a UT engineer deemed them unsafe. Then 3 independent engineers deemed them safe.

The entire ordeal was a joke. F UT.

I thought the Houston Fire Marshall deemed those seats unsafe. How would UT have any control over seating at an event sponsored by the University of Houston?

Here are some pics of those Bleachers. Post 29

Not Jeff. Looks like Born I were both wrong. It was a enginner hired by UH that deemed the bleachers unsafe. So what exactly did I do to smear UH?:ncaabbs: 01-wingedeagle One of your brothers claimed we cancelled the series and I asked for a link? None has been provided. It seems certain coogs mission in life is to smear other Texas schools ( mainly those in the Big 12) because they got left behind. It's not those schools fault that UH didn't have anyone in the legislature fighting for UH to be included.

Hey, I wasnt trying to smear anyone. The discussion was about how its becoming very dificult to schedule BCS teams. I repeated what a sports reporter had said on a radio show about Houston asking several Big-12 schools and getting no takers. I also added what a Tech alumni had told me about the Texas Tech series. Unfortunately for me, after digging for a while, I was able to find a link that indicated I was wrong. It was only a 2 game agreement with Tech--they did not cancel anything. However, I think the alumni I spoke to just got his facts crossed. Texas Tech did cancel a game this year---but it was with TCU to schedule Texas State.
