Looking at Article V, I think a Constitutional Convention could only be called by 2/3 of the State Legislatures.

But how close are the Democrats to getting control of 34 State Legislatures?
03-lmfao This desperation is getting commical. You guys crack me up.

When you consider that Milton County, GA DOES NOT EXIST and that the people who want to re-form Milton County and separate from Fulton County are the same ones who don't want "those people" in their neighborhoods, what do you expect?

It has nothing to do with race, it has to deal with the fact that we pay through the nose in taxes and don't get anything in return. Our tax money is wasted by Fulton County.

The Fulton County Commission is a bunch of crooks. They had a major "road construction" project up here a couple of years ago. One of the Commission contractor lackeys won the bid, and guess what... they only used 1/4 of the necessary reinforcing steel in the roadbed, and the road fell apart in under a year. Its still not repaired right. the contractor admitted he "cut corners"... and nothing happened to him.

I think the people in Dekalb have a good idea-- Don't separate from the County-- incorporate your own city and "cut out" the county.

In 10 years Dekalb County Government is going to be like Fulton and Clayton counties-- ineffective, corrupt and under perpetual investigation.

You're being very intellectually dishonest if you claim that it's not about race. In fact, your mention of DeKalb and Clayton are evidence that it is, on many levels, about race. Perhaps it not about race FOR YOU, but I guarantee to you that race is an issue for many of the people who are pushing for their little secession.

When the State Public School Accreditation Organization gives the Clayton County Public School Board 16 months to get their act together and resolve the list of deficiencies, or lose accreditation of their school system (meaning their Diplomas are essentially worthless and making it next to impossible for their students to get into College)… and the School Board does NOTHING..and accreditation is lost because they did NOTHING ….how is that racial?

When the Clayton County Sheriff (who is black) is sued by numerous Deputies (most of whom are black) for civil service violations…how is that racial?

When Dekalb County Hospital District mismanages Grady Hospital (the only Level 1 Trauma Center in Georgia) to the point it is insolvent and has to get an Emergency Appropriation from the State to stay open…. how is that racial?

When the head of MARTA (who is white) is caught by a cop pulling a “Larry Craig” in a bathroom at the Atlanta Airport, while his agency is drowning in red ink…. how is that racial?

Local Government, is by and large, F’ed Up around here. They can't provide efficieint local government services. I’m tired of paying for F’Ups, whether they be white, brown, black, green, blue, etc. I'm tired of paying for a County government that by and large doesn't give a damn.

If they can't do the job or won't do they job, let the people who live up here do it ourselves.
