True, though people forget one thing about being in a BCS and non-BCS conference. If a BCS team loses a non-conference, or even a conference game, they still have a shot at a BCS bowl by winning the conference. If a non-BCS school loses a game or two there is a very slim chance of them going to a BCS bowl.

I am not a true statistics guy but it would depend on your coefficient; I don't believe UConn has as good a chance to get a BCS bid than say WVU.


UConn has as good a chance as West Virginia or anybody else of getting a BCS bid. Wake Forest showed last year that the favorite doesn't always win the conference.
