ASU Fumbles Game Away to Ole Miss

ASU played Memphis tough at home and played Ole Miss tough on the road; we will be a force in the SBC football race. I say ASU in the NO Bowl this year! What do you think?

ASU miscues help Rebels survive

OXFORD, Miss. — Arkansas State was no victim of a bigger school from a bigger conference by an embarrassing score.
This time, the Indians victimized themselves.

Ole Miss capitalized on Arkansas State’s own misfortunes and turned two second-half turnovers into touchdowns for a 28-21 Homecoming victory Saturday afternoon at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

The Indians (1-4), victims of a 55-0 thrashing last year at Ole Miss, were far from the part of Homecoming cupcake this time around. ASU led 14-13 at halftime and threatened numerous times in the second half. But Arkansas State self-destructed with an interception and a fumble that the Rebels (2-3) capitalized on for short-field situations and easy scores in a game that the Indians felt they gave away.

ASU coach Steve Roberts said too many opportunities escaped the Indians and too many mistakes victimized them.
