Petition to Hire Blaine Taylor
I know he’s not coming back but I’d support the move if he was coming back.

We don't need to raise our profile, we need to raise our Bpi and RPI . We already spend too much time on the road in this stupid conference.
How will playing a .500 St. Joe's team raise our RPI or BPI? We already play Richmond, W&M, and VCU every year, not to mention Marshall, UAB, and UTSA. When Richmond and VCU were tournament caliber teams we could get away with it. Those days are over. We need NCAA teams on the schedule and these teams are just like playing second tier CUSA teams.

You think VCU and Richmond are finished? I mean, yeah, they had bad seasons by their standards but I don't see that being a long-term condition for either of them.
St. Joseph's is tooth-and-nail with Rhode Island right now so I'm not sure that I'd dismiss them as just some random .500 program.
The Charleston tournament has at least two NCAA teams from this season in Kansas State and Missouri, and Penn might join them.
I don't disagree that they should schedule more aggressively but it's not like they're doing all their OOC shopping in the tomato-can aisle.

Until VCU and UR go through their coaching cycle, yes I think they're done. St Joe's is playing better not, but they have seniors.

Richmond's coaching cycle? Mooney's been there for 13 years with no signs on either side that anything's changing, and they had a starting lineup with two freshmen, two sophomores and a junior. They'll almost certainly be better next year and could even be an A-10 challenger. VCU might struggle again with no Tillman, but they also get Marcus Evans and that's pretty important.

Never thought ODU's current condition would be long term either... but here we are.
