3-1 count to Cory! Next pitch has to be a strike for Oklahoma or it's over...

Coastal has a “young team” moment and blows a three run lead to #18 Oklahoma in the 8th, via bases loaded, two out, error to score one and allow the next guy to knock in two more.
But the good guys prevail in 10. Single, bunt single, and 2 out walk off single. 4-3 Chants.
Good start for the Sun Belt in Conway. USA and CCU both 2-0 vs the big P5 boys.

I wouldn’t really call that a “young team” moment. It all started because an umpire granted a HBP, when the batter clearly swung on a 0-2 count. That opened Pandora’s box. I’m just glad, they were able to put that behind them.

True, but moments like that, outside of our own control, are what derail inexperienced squads. Was the youngest guy in the IF that booted the next play. Anyway, great win.

Bobcats tie their series with OKST, downing the Cowpokes 10-1 today.
Awesome effort by the Cats first pitch to last . . .

They are playing our tournament. We don’t play them though. Same thing with Oklahoma and K State. They are in the tournament, but don’t play each other because they are in the same conference. I don’t blame them playing here, we bring big names to these tournaments, that I don’t think they could get to come to Mobile.

It’s not odd to me. What will be more strange is when South plays a 3 game “out of conference” series in Lafayette.

I am really impressed with USA and Coastal Carolina so far. ULL I honestly expected to sweep UT but that didn't happen.
UTA is looking pretty good, their first big test will be against top ranked TCU this week. TCU is like 15 miles west of UTA so I'm expecting a nice crowd as always

South ran out of gas in on the pitching staff at the very end of the game. Nice showing for the weekend, though.

Yeah, it was our 4th game and their 3rd. We also already had an extra inning game. Add to that the fact that we only had one decent start, our pen was stretched as it is.
Unfortunately we have a really good USM team coming to Mobile Tuesday who will only have played 3 games. That’s going to be a tough one. We’ll need our offense to click.

Well you better beat them, we need our Conference RPI up so we can get at least 3 teams in this year.
