Thankfully we start with some of easier AAC teams before heading into the meat grinder. I do think Cincy got about as favorable of a conference schedule as possible though which I'm thankful for heading into another rebuilding year (which will hopefully be the last). Bowl eligible is possible...
A weak pac12 team, 2 MAC's and an fcs is a tough OOC?
For a team QB'd by Hayden Moore it is
Plus Ohio U and Miami will be pretty good next year and you can never sleep on a Chip Kelly team, the guy is a phenomenal coach.
In no universe should we be calling a schedule with two middling MAC schools and one of the worse FCS schools tough. Really looking forward to going down to the Rose Bowl, though. That UCLA game will be fun.

Wow that is faith in your school. Throw them under the bus before spring practice even begins. I at least give Rutgers a chance at a 7 & 5 season until they play the Texas Bobcats on Sept 1st.
The truth is harsh.
QB - One guy has thrown one pass
RB - uninspiring at best
Hussein Howe really came on strong last year. Looks like a legit #1 back. Darius Pinnix looked like (in flashes) Jonathan Williams 2.0. I also am holding out hope for the much hyped Trace Christian to come in and challenge them for playing time. I think we have 3 good backs. Anthony Scott is a homerun threat, but can't stop fumbling.
WR - downgraded, but still should be one of the best groups in AAC if we have a QB
Losing Grayson hurts. Losing Jimmy Williams, well, not so much. I think Trevon Brown will have an All-American caliber season. Getting Leroy Henley and Blake Proehl back from injury will help, and we will finally see what they can do! I will admit the other returners (Farrier, Dean, etc) don't excite me too much, but they are good by AAC standards, no doubt.
OL - no significant upgrades
DL - slightly above average
LB - slightly below average
DB - horrible with no significant upgrade
Tim Irvin & Tank Robinson are likely the 2 most talented DB's we have ever had at ECU at the same time. HOPEFULLY the new Defensive Coordinator can figure out how the heck to use them, and put them in the right spots to make plays with their God-given abilities.
Coaching staff - cluster****
I still stick by my 3-9 prediction, but disagree on a couple minor exceptions.

"'Weren't y'all the team that went undefeated?'" some would ask him.
"No," he said he replied, "we weren't that team."
