That's tricky because pretty much everyone is in a different conference--A-10, CAA, America East, WAC, Horizon, OVC, Big South, A-Sun. Someone could probably be convinced to slap their name on the league even if they only have one or two schools who plays in it.
This has been tried before and it usually ends up destroying the basketball product for the non-football schools.
The A-10 is absolutely not interested. Dumping their FCS league onto the CAA was one the best things that ever happened to them.
There are exactly three basketball onlies that play in FBS conferences. They are Wichita, UALR, and Texas-Arlington. They are all happy with that because they have no place better to go. Their situation isn't really applicable to other conferences.
All three have been talking about adding football. Those three do have an instant access to join an FBS conference in the future if they do add.

Wichita was considering 'adding football' when they felt it was the only way to get into the AAC.
UALR doesn't have the money.
UTA isn't interested at this time.
There's really no movement.

The Atlantic Sun should be an FBS aggragation conference and move in that direction.
Lipscomb wants to leave.
NJIT wants to leave.
USC Upstate needs a better conference fit.
Jacksonville will have options as will Stetson.
Kennesaw St wants FBS.
Both North Florida and FGCU need an FBS option in the future.
UNA only cares about fb anyway.
Any realignment of the CAA as a result of this would open up domino effect opportunities for NJIT, Lipscomb, Jacksonville and Stetson. They can effectively initiate their own opportunities.

They should move the A-Sun's non-football schools to the Big South.
North Florida
FGCU
North Alabama
Kennesaw State
Liberty
UMass. football only
Jacksonville State
Eastern Kentucky
Youngstown State
Stony Brook
If any D2 schools in the region wants to jump to D1? Big South would be the starting point if that is what you are thinking about?
Not sure Delaware and James Madison wants to join this group? But, we may not know.
