Can't believe the people of Houston forgot the scams he was found to be participating in before his previous mayoral run when Bob Lanier was elected. He must have had totally incompetent opponents.

Eventually Mayor Whitmire got beat. Turner lead and Bob Lanier was 2nd while Whitmire was 3rd. Lanier won the runoff.
