RE: Your School's Almuni Base?
FAU wasn't even 4 year University until 1988 and really didn't become the school it looks like today until 2008-2009.
The Alumni we are producing now will become fans over the people who went to the school when it was a couple building next to an airport.

The information you quote for USM is incorrect. They have 13,796 PAID memb ers in their alumni association for 2014 school session. That figure has nothing to do with your subject of how many overall alumni.
That is the number I was provided, so that is the number I have posted. If you have something better you can add it and I will update the list. They only other thing I can do for you is make a notation. I can't do anything about the various ways in which our universities track graduates.
This has nothing to do with "the various ways in which our universities track graduates." You're comparing two completely different things.

We had over 20k DUES PAYING members of the alumni association but they have since changed "from a membership model to a donor centric, giving model", so no more dues payment. I still get my glossy alumni magazines mailed to my house which is pretty cool.
At only around 52 years old, I don't have a problem counting the 215K as living. I'd imagine at least 200K of those are still alive.

Not a problem. I'm hoping that over time some of this can be broken down into more usable data (Living grads, Alumni Association members, Grads within a 100 mile radius of campus, Grads living in media markets within C-USA's geographic footprint, ...). Right now, it is a long way from that. To be honest, this is probably something our universities and C-USA should be doing as part of developing a better marketing strategy.

RE: Your School's Almuni Base?
All these numbers have very steep assumptions. Does a master degree graduate (but not a Bachelor) count? Does a Doctoral (but not the previous degrees) student count? If so, how do we count someone who has two or three academic degrees from one school?

If they completed the requirements for the degree, they are your alumni. Will they give back to your university vs another? Who knows, but they are still your alumni.

THIS! So much THIS! I don't know if we have anybody with a pulse in the conference office thinking like this any more! You look at just the schools' footprint and then try to figure out what business fits that same footprint and go after it! We had done pretty well matching up with Zaxbys for the bowl game and then go and sell/trade (deal with the Devil) that off to E$PN! We need to find other businesses which fit that profile and get them signed on. With that in place, it gets a lot easier to shop around the tv package. Chickfila comes to mind, but they are so into the P5 (at least SEC, ACC, Big XII)

RE: Your School's Almuni Base?
I was informed today by someone within the Rice Alumni Association that all grads are automatically granted membership into their alumni association, and that Rice has contacts for around 25,000 living alums. That is probably close to the total number of living alums. I have updated their data to reflect this new information.

So if we got every living alum to a game, it would fill one side of the stadium.
I hope they all bring their spouse. SRO.
An average of 245 per each of the 102 classes we have graduated.
