Very glad other schools are also researching concussions to better protect athletes.

I think it's cool how Texas State has developed a headband so that data can be collected for multiple sports besides football.

Georgia Southern doesn't have a fancy video but if anyone would like to read up on the topic here's some of our research as well:

Good reads. Good to see we have schools concerned about this and making strides towards some form of resolution, or, at the very least, keeping the athletes safer.

The headbands are a good idea. That means all movement could be tracked instead of just when the helmet is on. I know Stanford was using sensors in mouth guards, due to their theory that it would give a more accurate measurement. I think it had to do with being closer to C.G. of the human head instead of on the periphery or further out (like with a helmet). The leverage in those positions could skew data.
