Officials say it is up. I do believe that the actions taken there will pay off--less provisional admits, engineering programs. And it better, because the three stooges in state government will continue to cut funding year in and out.

RE: Any Upgrades to the Rock?
In May USM signed a contract with Protec TARPS out of California with the intent of covering several upper deck sections at MM and Reed Green. Should be installed following the opener against Kentucky. Might be installed sooner based on flow of ticket sales by mid August.

RE: Any Upgrades to the Rock?
We're not tarping the stadium.
Not a bad idea though. Could cover pretty much every section at RGC and the top corners of MMR.

If so that's not a bad idea.....tarp the end section of each upper deck side and logo it with a sponsor. The sponsorship would probably cover the cost of the tarp with no additional income but at least it wouldn't be looking at an emptier stadium than it already is for most if not all games.

The Sonic of Sumrall tarp of the game. You can't make this $hit up.
Cover both upper decks and the east lower and you could sell out the SUNWACUSA schedule.

RE: Any Upgrades to the Rock?
Those tarps are extremely homoerotic, in my opinion. I don't understand why people have a problem with a few empty seats, and it's not like the tarps fool anyone with half a brain.
Time was, you built your stadium to accommodate *peak* demand. Nowadays everyone's trying to sell out every damned game or something. The Braves' new stadium, for example, only seats 40,000. That's ridiculous, in my opinion. Nobody in D-1 or the pros should ever build a stadium with under 50,000 seats. Why waste your time and energy, Richard? And it wouldn't hurt them to chill out with all the "amenities," too. Just detract from the game... again, in my opinion.

These last two Braves' parks have been shopping malls with games being played nearby.

Agreed. The Braves suck, and even though I haven't been to the new stadium (yet), I'm sure it sucks too.

The Braves are ahead of schedule in their rebuild. Several players at the ML and AAA level have been overperforming all season. They need Sean Newcomb to figure things out. Dansby Swanson needs to figure things out pretty quickly, too, but if he doesn't, the Braves do have a lot of other infielders at the ML level right now.
The stadium is fun enough, but the details are damn sure not to my taste. One thing the Braves do get right, though, is that the AAA club is right outside Atlanta. There's a lot of interplay between the top two levels in pro baseball, and you can see many of the ML Braves at the AAA stadium in any given season.

They are practically interchangeable.
Is Assenmacher still pitching for them or is he with the Cubs again?
I would like to sh*t on Ted Turner's head for exposing my state to this crap.
Go Cards.
