RE: Troy endzone facility rendering/progress
Lol First of all back up, I never said GSUs stadium sucks... I was born and raised in Atlanta and love that stadium and watched it being built in 95/96 for the Olympics.

I only said what I said because I knew you guys would come in saying our stadium can’t hold a candle to the Ted. It’s really a matter of opinion.

If I had to choose you’re stadium or Troy’s I’d choose Troys because it’s the right size. If we have 25,000 at the game it looks nearly full, it hold sound very well and the video board might not be as big as yours but because the stadium is closer to the field and smaller it will seem bigger than yours. Also ours is right on campus. In the middle of everything.

You have room to grow into your stadium, and you do indeed have one of the nicest stadiums in the sbc.

I'm happy for Troy. My grandpa went there. I hope they continue to do well.

The recent $10 million gift greenlighted App's North Endzone Project. Can't wait to see old Owens Field House come down.

I hope that isn't what it looks like. I'd prefer a tier of regular seating (20 rows to connect east and west sides) with two tiers of covered club seats above those with a terrace on either side for standing (Yosef Hospitality room pregame).

App State needs to add more seating.

I agree, but Gillin told me no seats at field level. Obviously that all could change with the upcoming schedule enhancements.

I hope that changes. The noise that could be kept in by keeping those seats in place, along with the structure behind it, could give us one of, if not the loudest, stadiums in the G5.

Place gets real quiet.

Probably a good idea. Still I just like to keep reminding him how a FCS move up rolled into town and knocked off the 3 time defending Sunbelt champs.

Not to sound arrogant. But when this is done there’s gonna be some separation in Troy and everyone else’s facilities when it comes to nicest stadium in the league IMO.

Ps I include GSU in that. Stadium is a baseball set up and too big for you’re current needs.

LOL GSU Stadium went through 1st upgrade phase of 5 (nvm the new basketball convocation center and baseball stadium that will be built right next to the stadium). Drastic upgrades are still coming. Too big? It's not like we're gonna be in the SunBelt forever. App is also putting up a new mega video board. Ark State will upgrade their stadium. So is Georgia Southern. Troy's stadium will be nice but cmon.

Hey it’s my opinion. And I’m not alone on my feelings. Not just from Troy peeps.

I'm cool with Troy's shameless plug. In fact, I like looking at the pretty pictures to see the progress. The endzone upgrade is indeed nice.

But you can brag about your own stadium without nitpicking other stadiums with imaginary problems. Our stadium sucks because it's TOO big? well, that's a first. Our stadium sucks because it still has a baseball set up? well of course, we barely started the renovation! We wouldn't be spending hundreds of millions of $$$$ if we thought Turner Field was perfect.

I don't even know why you singled out our stadium. And if you say it was because I posted the pic of our stadium, I only posted that pic to disprove the incorrect claim here that Troy will have the biggest video board in SBC. I'm sure Troy's video board will show some kickass HD quality videos but definitely not the biggest.

Was at GSU Stadium for the Troy game. I'm assuming the right outfield seating will be demolished? Besides that, I think the stadium looks great and has really good seating views. I ventured over to the home side to watch some of the game and it looked great.

I think there is a lot of potential with that stadium and location. Probably makes Georgia Tech a little jealous.
RF to be demolished and replaced with IPF. Second level to be built over new east stands.

Without going through 14 pages, could you provide the details on what it will house? By the way, I love the Neoclassical look of Troys campus.
