Oldtimer's Potential order for Top 25 selections.
Uncle Matt the Wizard of Wonder and Amazement when it comes to his selections. OK, the final 16 .... SOME DAY MATT will select TCU or Auburn. Aggie, Matt must be a Alum of the Horned Frogs, no other reason for them to be this HIGH. I personally don't see them beating Arkansas and Oklahoma State, two of their first 4 games of the 2017 season. IMO, they will be lucky to be 2 -2 at that point. They will crush Jackson State and then have SMU, followed up with two losses - (Arkansas, Oklahoma State). To me he (Matt) should flip Oklahoma St and TCU. Horned Frogs TOP 16 - NO WAY!! Auburn maybe? [/b]

My 2017 Preseason TOP 25
1. Alabama Crimson Tide - one reason Jalen Hurt
2. USC Trojans - Sam Darnold, and Clay Helton are the Bomb
3. Clemson Tigers - Dabo Swinney's intensity
4. Ohio State Buckeyes - J.T. Barrett returns for his senior season
5. Florida State Seminoles - have a huge amount of talent
6. Oklahoma Sooners - The Sooners’ with Baker Mayfield will be fantastic
7. Penn State Nittany Lions - two Heisman Trophy contenders in Trace McSorley and Saquon Barkley in their backfield.
8. Michigan Wolverines - The Wolverines recruit at one of the highest levels in College Football.
9. Washington Huskies - Jake Browning returns.
10. Georgia Bulldogs - Running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel.
11. LSU Tigers - Ed Orgeron will be successful.
12. Louisville Cardinals - returns Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson.
13. Wisconsin Badgers - Paul Chryst has gotten it done.
14. Florida Gators - with back-to-back SEC East Division championships they will continue to roll
15. Oklahoma State Cowboys - Mason Rudolph and James Washington decided to return.
16. Stanford Cardinal - after winning 10 or more games five of the last six seasons. they know how to WIN.
17. Virginia Tech Hokies - Justin Fuente’s continues the Beamer legacy.
#34 18. West Virginia Mountaineers - OS Poll #34 Should be in contention for the Big 12 championship.
#28 19. Kansas State Wildcats OS poll 28- Quarterback Jesse Ertz and four stealer offensive linemen are back.
#25 20. Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes -The Hurricanes won their last five games in 2016 and should build on that success.
21. Auburn Tigers - If Baylor transfer Jarrett Stidham is the new QB along with running backs Kamryn Pettway and Kerryon Johnson SUCCESS.
# 30 22. South Florida Bulls - OS Poll #30 Charlie Strong and a dynamic quarterback in Quinton Flowers works for maybe the best of the G5's.
#21 23. Notre Dame Independent 10-3
#24 24. Texas Longhorns - Tom Herman will have a instant impact on the Longhorns.
#38 25. NC State - OS Poll #38 The Wolfpack return 22 seniors. NC State almost beat national champion Clemson. This year they have a starting quarterback in place. Ryan Finley, a graduate transfer from Boise State. This is the year they breakout.

RE: Orlando Sentinel Countdown
Now even I am wondering about TCU. Patterson usually has a strong team but last year they disappointed. I could see them ranked but higher than Penn State??

RE: Orlando Sentinel Countdown
Oldtimer's Potential order for Top 25 selections.
Uncle Matt must be a "Horned Frog Super Fan". The final 13 ....

Aggie, I'm really surprised that Matt thinks those slimy Toads will be that good in 2017....oh well to each their own. VA Tech is right around where I thought they would be. Still feel he has really elevated where Auburn should be.

My LAST to be SELECTD from my NOT a TOP 25 team 1

RE: Orlando Sentinel Countdown
My projection of TCU's 2017 Season and potential Results

Last year 2016 TCU 6 -7

MY 2017 Projection 6 -6

Sep. 2 Jackson State Tigers W (TCU 56 Jackson St 21)
Sep. 9 at Arkansas Razorbacks L (Arkansas 42 TCU 31)
Sep. 16 SMU Mustangs W (TCU 45 SMU 31)
Sep. 23 at Oklahoma State Cowboys L (Oklahoma St 31 TCU 28)
Sep. 30 OFF
Oct. 7 West Virginia Mountaineers L (WVU 41 TCU 38)
Oct. 14 at Kansas State Wildcats W (TCU 35 Kansas St 31)
Oct. 21 Kansas Jayhawks W TCU 31 Kansas 28)
Oct. 28 at Iowa State Cyclones W (TCU 41 Iowa St 28)
Nov. 4 Texas Longhorns L (Texas 31 TCU 14)
Nov. 11 at Oklahoma Sooners L (Oklahoma 56 TCU 28)
Nov. 18 at Texas Tech L (Texas Tech 28 TCU 24)
Nov. 24 Baylor Bears W (TCU 63 Baylor 31)

I just do not see it............Last year they lost to Arkansas at home, Oklahoma at home, West VA crushed them. They even lost to Texas Tech at home, Oklahoma St destroyed them at home 31 -6, with their only score being a last minute score before the game ended. They again lost at home to Kansas St. who stifled them 30 -6 (2 field goals)

OK St Link... http://www.espn.com/college-football/gam...=400869623
Kansas St link... http://www.espn.com/college-football/gam...=400869611

There is no way they will be above 7 wins for the regular season. IMO, I think they will be lucky to be 6-6 at the end of the regular season. If they play like last year when they played Georgia in their Bowl game, they will again have another loss to end the 2017 year.
