RE: 2017 CAA Basketball Transfers
I can think of few things that would be more toxic to a team than a player who obviously wishes he was someplace else and, by all appearances, considers his coach, team, and teammates to be second- (or eightieth-) best.

OTOH, I think Cole Harrison would love William & Mary and Williamsburg, and hope he's giving us a hard look.

Interesting... I wonder if they know something that we don't know or if David is trying to make a last minute sales attempt. Come on Cole, Jamaica is calling.

My God is this getting pathetic. I mean, really? Cole Harrison? The same guy who averaged 1 point per game over 3 years in the Ivy League, and hasn't played basketball in nearly 2 years? THIS is who we are hoping for?

I would MUCH rather we just moved someone like Ollie Tot down low and just dealt with the size mismatches all year. And I get that we just need a big body in practice, but is Harrison really the guy to give Knight a representative challenge?

I mean, we have the scholarships available. Can't hurt.

I agree though, that he's likely not gonna light the CAA on fire.

I would absolutely favor a 6'11" 245lb body to spell Knight for a few mins a game over playing a backup PG at the 5.

Last year, Richmond picked up a grad transfer center from Northeastern. This player barely sniffed the court in Boston but due to lack of Spider post depth was forced into action for a handful of mins when TJ Cline went out. Virtually no offensive production but was key in clogging up the middle against other A-10 centers.

I have no idea about Cole, but the thought of Tot/Rowley/any other player not named Knight trying to defend a Gustys or Cacock scares me.

Regardless of our final roster this season, I trust the coaches to make the most of it.

Guys that transfer to W&M are burgeoning superstars. Guys that transfer out are turncoats who weren't good to begin with. Did your decoder ring break?

RE: 2017 CAA Basketball Transfers
Yea, we don't need anybody. Knight play 40 minutes a game because he never fouls and is impervious to injury. That's why we got rid of Seacat and Whitman.

We got rid of Malinowski so Tot can dominate inside.

We lost 3 players who would have been significant cogs in the rotation. If it looks like we are begging, it's because we are.

MLB teams sign mediocre or less than mediocre pitching to eat up innings. That's what we're trying to do here.

I was thinking same (with a smile). You state things so well.

However, at this point I see no harm. He does have size and "experience" - I see him like Luis Sojo, a veteran/"Yoda"esk influence on the court.....

Those Instagram pics someone posted made me nervous for this year.

Tai Harrison of Verbal Commits was the guy who reported it first.

Good to hear about Harrison. We are now 2 scholarships short of full with the 2 Freshmen, Harrison, and Glover (I believe) getting one, right?

RE: 2017 CAA Basketball Transfers
Great news!! Welcome to the Tribe, Cole!

At a minimum we just got 5 more fouls in the middle throughout the year.

Interesting to see that he was excited to play in a Princeton style offense with his face up jumper coming out of Montrose.

It's nice to have someone coming instead of folks leaving :).

Maybe this will be the first of some new additions with all those 2018 offers out there.

Go Tribe!

Badly needed backup for Knight. Hopefully I don't have to worry about Tot stepping in at the 5 next season

RE: 2017 CAA Basketball Transfers
This young man may not be the All-American transfer but he's had four years at Dartmouth and,
as others have said, will give us relief for Knight with size in the position. Despite the depressing spring
it's kudos for Tony and his staff for keeping at it and finally shoring up this big hole.

And who knows, Cole may turn out to be much more than we think and surprise us all.
