I don't hear a lot of confidence from Rocker's mouth. I think he's trying to put his best foot forward. They'll do well against Tulsa, but reality will hit in Austin. UT has a pretty good offensive line and running back. The Hog D-line will be tested in very hot and hostile conditions.

It'll be a wait and see deal. Rocker's got a lot of new guys up there. I think Jeb Huckeba is gonna shock a lot of people though.
Let's see what ol Scott Davenport can do as well. At least this DL has some playing experience. Last year's DL was a patchwork mirrors job that Kacy Rodgers perfected. Tracy Rocker can hopefully do the same.

I just know how hot it is going to be in Austin. The Horns have a very good O-line and a fine running back in Benson. If we can't stop the run, we will lose this game. They can control the time of possession and wear out our defense. I believe Rocker should have our guys ready to play. And then on offense, if we can get our running game going and surprise them with some efficient passing, we can win. I'd take a win by 3. I'm hoping for the best. By the way, the Horns already think they have this game won.

Horns think they got every game won..big whoop
I just don't get your obsession with the heat in Austin. Who cares??? Austin in September isn't any hotter than Tuscaloosa is, and we've played and beated Bama many a time there. In fact, it might be WORSE in Tuscaloosa given the humidity.
Heat is something we shouldn't be worrying about...at all.

I'm not so concerned in that Texas has to play in it also, but our lack of depth will really show in the heat. It's just a common sense issue. If we are not deep, we will lose the game if we can't keep fresh bodies in the game, especially in the defensive line.

We have better OL and DL depth this year than last...thanks to HDN for getting an unheralded, but much more needed, trench recruitiing class.
Don't forget though, the Texas DL is extremely porous as well and lacking of depth. That's a bigger advantage for us than Texas, as we rely more on the running game, and have our strength in Big Shawn.
