hoping UTEP gets it so we can have two bids. I think MTSU is a lock for at large at this point.

I think they'd be in danger if they lose today. If they lose in the finals, I think they're okay. UTEP would be considered another bad loss.

It was a better game than the score indicates, and I think we'll have a good time next season.
Are you sure you are a La Tech fan?

Assuming MTSU has an at-large bid locked up, I'd like to see another team win.

That would be best for the conference; Publicity plus 2 chances to put $ in the converence bank account to be shared by all.

Only Fair I guess, our Total production back in the hay day was from their State.
We were kind of like Memphis II (UAB vs Memphis)
Next Year should be Good if we can keep our Game.
Better then being Mad. How the truth comes out win you lose.

Beat Kentucky in 1st round of 1982. Beat Florida State in 1st round of 1989

Which is a better situation for C-USA perception:
MTSU winning the C-USA Tournament, getting a better seed, and having a better chance at making a run in the NCAA Tournament
OR
MTSU loses to Marshall, gets a 14 or below at-large seed, Marshall gets the auto bid at the 15 or 16. Marshall has a very difficult shot to advance, and MTSU's path gets harder than it would have been otherwise.

RE: So with UAB out, who do you want to win it?
From a financial standpoint demiveeman it depends on if MTSU gets a high enough seed to get a reliably winnable first round game... We get money based on the number of credits. Each game played is a credit, so MTSU would have to win its game to EQUAL a scenario with Marshall in even at a 15 seed.
I would wager on a higher probability of more credits from Marshall (which can get hot from 3 and upset someone) OR MTSU winning a game and getting a 3rd credit.

My mistake. MTSU had not won a game since the 80s. Don't know where my confusion arose from. There are some real smart asses on the board..

RE: So with UAB out, who do you want to win it?
I'd rather see two CUSA teams in the tourney, and I'd feel better knowing that a team from CUSA can still get an at large.. However, it'd really suck for MTSU to be the first team out. Most bubble projections still have them with "work left to do." They left Monmouth out last year, so why wouldn't they do it to MTSU this year.

RE: So with UAB out, who do you want to win it?
If it was any team other than Marshall (and La Tech) I'd root for the second bid. Because it is Marshall, I'm rooting for MTSU. It would be interesting to see what happens with MTSU if they don't win. Without question the deserve a bid but that doesn't always matter in the committee's eyes.

Marshall is at 109 on realtime rpi. If they were to beat MTSU, I'm sure they'd jump into the top 100, which would not be considered a bad loss for MTSU. I think they'd get in, but I'd be very nervous for them.

I'd rather have 2 teams in, but obviously if MTSU were to get left out cause of the loss I'd just rather have MTSU win the tourney. Hindsight is 50/50 and all that
