If I am Liberty, UMASS and New Mexico State I would try and schedule a yearly match....

It only makes since for the INDY teams to start helping each other out with scheduling

We're in talks with Boise State, NC State and Georgia State. All games are 2 for 1 with Georgia State being the only one making two trips to Lynchburg. Also working on a home and home with Hawaii.

Hey MSMWolf! Looks like your boys (NCSU) may be playing AT Liberty!
Hey Panama! Sounds like Liberty will get a 2 for 1 with Georgia St!(In Libertys favor)

So how do you guys feel about that?

RE: Who is the first school to schedule a game at Liberty?
I see it as no different as the 2 - 1 we did with ODU. Since UVA and VT are in the coastal, I believe NCSU goes to plays them at VA twice every 12 years. Va is a strong recruiting area, so they try and get some games in VA to invite recruits too! So I have no problem with it and probably go to the game in Lynchburg. Not like we have not gone to South Alabama or Troy. I have no issue with 2-1 deals like this. Actually, I was upset with H/H with Troy instead of being 2-1. Tell I wish NCSU would do a H/H with Army. I loved when I went to the Navy game. Would love to see a game at West Point.

Could see
2020 or 21 @NCSU
2023 @NCSU
2024 @Liberty

After reading the article again, if Liberty were to play in Hawaii in 2019 or a later date. I could see NCSU be willing to add an away game as a 13th game to start the season a week early in 2019. Then State get home games in 2021 & 2023. Would love to have a game under our belt before opening against ECU in 2019. I would be all over this type of deal. 04-cheers

You guys just barely pull one out last meeting, against a FCS Liberty. 05-stirthepot
For all intents and purposes, you will still be FCS Liberty in 2018. Just like when we moved up. FBS teams were bigger, stronger and had much more depth.

You make it seem like we don' t play other FBS teams already. I don't think we've been blown out like that in those games. I see no reason to believe it will happen against ODU. Looking forward to the game.

RE: Who is the first school to schedule a game at Liberty?
If I recall, Ga Southern won the Sunbelt during transition. Sadly for them, there were too many bowl teams that year. They should have beat the Pack that year, they fumbled on the 1 yard line. They should have been up by two scores with less than two minutes but let the Pack steal a win. They made SBC my favorite G5 conference. I love to watch App vs Ga Southern. So, one can't say what will happen during the transition year but there games count as FBS like any other FBS team.

A 0 week game would work if Liberty does indeed pull off a H&H with Hawaii.

Just announced that Syracse will be traveling to Liberty to open the 2019 season on August 31st. The Flames will then travel to Syracuse in September the following two seasons.

Saw a tweet a while back that it would be a 4 game series but only see two games in the news release.

Seems we'd be coming in 2020 and 2021 if it's a 4 game series.

Syracuse is coming to town! Liberty is scheduling much much better than I thought. I think this is the 3rd ACC team for Liberty. Wake, NCSU and Syracuse.

4 games is a pipe dream. SU isn't giving Liberty a H&H, and I doubt Liberty is giving SU a 1-3, and SU/Liberty isn't a big enough draw to do neutral.

I guess Baylor was the first school to schedule a home game to (currently) FCS Liberty. Liberty is winning 41-31 in the 4th. Bawhahahaha

Folks just never listen to me, especially when they think I'm trying to be humorous. But the funniest things in life are always true. What's so hard to believe? Two fundamentalist schools which have been known from time to time to step in it, decide to play each other, what's far fetched about that? It was destined, or one might even say preordained.
