Exclamation Best ACC Bowl Record - EVER
The ACC just finished a historically good bowl season for the conference. Just how good was 2016 compared to prior bowl seasons? Check out this table of bowl records and win percentages since the 2004 expansion (to 11 teams)...

Year W-L Win%
2004 3-3 50%
2005 5-3 63%
2006 4-4 50%
2007 2-6 25%
2008 4-6 40%
2009 3-4 43%
2010 4-5 44%
2011 2-6 25%
2012 4-2 67%
2013 5-6 45%
2014 4-7 36%
2015 4-5 44%
2016 8-3 73%

As far as I can tell, 8 bowl wins is the most EVER for the ACC. Just another sign that ACC football is improving by leaps and bounds.

If my math is right, we were 44-57 (.436) prior to this year.

Equally interesting: look at the number of teams that went bowling/the number of teams in the conference.

11/15 ties our record. So, we're sending as many teams as ever, and we're winning as many games as ever (as a % - regardless of the Clemson vs Bama game), which is leading to more wins than we've ever had before.

We've also done very well in the NCAAT each of the last 2 years, and Olympic sports have always been strong.

That's the long-winded way of saying that we are in a very, very good athletic conference.

I am sorry for how Louisville played!

CBP, staff, and team came to the LSU game; looking FUBAR! This looked to much like a Kragthorpe SNAFU! There had to be some eternal team problems in the locker room. Something is "rotten in Denmark"! 07-coffee3

It doesn't seem right, but according to my research Louisville has not beaten a ranked OOC opponent since the Florida Gators in the 2012 Sugar Bowl. That was 4 years ago.

Really nothing to be ashamed about for Louisville....

LSU has one of the best defenses in the country, just as good as Clemson and Bama. Their offense is slowly gaining steam as well....they are much better than their record indicates, and were good enough to be in tbe Sugar Bowl

In other words, they've got some athletes

11/14 you mean. ND's 4-8 is all their own.

They're in our bowl pool, so they should count.

But whether it's 11/14 or 11/15, it's still at least tied for the best ever for the ACC.

There are four Power 5 conferences looking up at that record this year and wishing they had it.

(raising glass)

Here's to you, Hokie Mark, and to everyone who believed all along in the potential of this league. This moment is yours.
