My only gripe was the Ed Sheeren cameo. A show this big doesn't need that kind of gimmick.

Bold of Arya telling Lannister soldiers her plan. Hopefully she kills Ed Sheeren's character quick.

I kind of liked it. They were nice guy Lannister soldiers showing Ayra than not all Lannister soilders are bad or even Lannisters. Just regular guys from the Westernlands with Dads, Wives and daughters who get occasionally sick of fighting someone else's' war. Ayra's reaction to their kindness was interesting: she was surprised, and then happy.

I'm hoping that there will be a bit of growth from her from revenge hungry murder machine, to a person who realizes that the skills she has need to be used wisely, or she will be no better than the people she is killing. I'm hoping an encounter with Nymeria will provide her with some reflection and introspection on who she is as a person, and she turns her tail to head North (and her actual home, like she promised Jaqen at the end of S6)

Correct. She said to Jaqen, "I'm Arya Stark, and I'm going home." She never kept her promise to be "no one" to him....though. She's been a bit of a liar. I hope she does go home.

Now that she knows the Boltons are dead and Jon is back at Winterfell she should be going home.

Pretty good episode. Not filler but defiantly building. Bad ass naval fight with Euron Greyjoy and the fam

That was a super fun episode. I am not sure how I feel about Theon turning back into Reek. Like I know he probably couldn't have done anything to save Yara, but to completely b!tch out like that was a little too much in my opinion.

Is it bad that I was happy the sex scene was interrupted by the battle? I hate Ellaria and the Sand Snakes so much, that I am happy Ellaria is suffering from female blue balls, plus whatever torture Cersei and Euron (Ceuron? Eursei? What is their relationship name?) will inflict. Good bye, Sand Snakes, and good riddance.

I like that Dany is being kicked down to the same level of desperation that everyone else in the world is at. She's lost half her Crownlands siege force, the other is going to get run over by the Lannisters shortly, and she was threatening to burn her smartest adviser alive even before that happened. Casterly Rock is now a do-or-die target, because otherwise Dany's got nothing going in Westeros. And Dany's going to lose one of her three biggest weapons once Qyburn starts cranking out high-velocity ballistas

Lost a lot of Navy and an ally in the Greyjoys. They now absolutely need the North.

I have no doubts that this war is ended in short order though. They have a wall that's about to fall.

Or will it fall? If you look at the opening credits (when it spins around the world) the sea on either side of the wall is frozen. The Others can simply walk around the wall.

It'll fall. There would be no need for a Wall if they could just walk around.

If you've read the books you can guess how the walls coming down. The Horn. The show has refused to bring this major thing up. Casterly Rock will be tough to lay seeze to if not impossible. Aegon the conqueror and his sisters even said that after seeing it for the first time after they had defeated the Lannister/Tyrell host in the field of fire.

The Unsullied took a dump all over that perception, but in the end their plan went down the crapper

Cersei and Jamie seem to be one step ahead of Tyrion... for now. I look forward to Jon and Dany continuing to work together. One thing I do not understand is why Dany seemed so willing to let the Iron Islands be autonomous/independent, but she is refusing to allow the same for the North. Also, the whole speech between Cersei and the Iron Bank was just wholly inaccurate. Braavos losing money on the slave trade? That is complete BS. There is no way that Braavos, the city founded by FORMER SLAVES, would engage or invest in the slave trade in Slavers' Bay... Or anywhere else in the world for that matter. That is just lazy writing in my opinion.

Yes!!!!! Very very inaccurate. The Iron Bank is in THE FREE CITY OF Bravos. Bravos was created by slaves and hid themselves for centuries from the Valaryian Dragonlords that had essentially enslaved all of Essos except Bravos

THANK YOU!!! I am so glad someone else found/heard the lunacy of that statement. I really hope it's part of a long con by the Iron Bank, but I think at this point the show runners just want to end this thing and are changing things to meet this goal.

PS See you on the 9/2!

Hahahaha...I'm very worried about the 9/2. There's a lot of people picking you guys, which I feel terrible about. You guys are a great FCS team. The best. But this shouldn't be close in normal years. It probably will be close. I'll take the W no matter what and want this over with!

The notion that the Iron Bank invests in the slave trade was just assumed by Cersei and neither confirmed or denied by the representative. The silence on the issue could either be acknowledgement that they do invest in slavery OR that they don't.

Cersei may have just shown her hand in insinuating that after she defeats Dany, the slave trade would be allowed to start back up. It's a callback to when Tywin told her that she wasn't as smart as she thinks she is. She thinks she has all the answers and speaks while the Iron Bank rep speaks. Like she knows what he's thinking. She may have just outsmarted herself.

I watched it over. Now, he could be purposely playing with her, but he certainly acknowledges the slave trade. Not "silence on the issue." I hope for continuity that the writers are using that as a kind of Easter egg for those of us who have read ASOIAF and know without question that the iron Bank not only does not invest in the slave trade but have funded wars for the side who wasn't making money on the slave trade. There's some brief examples given in "A World of Ice and Fire."

One of the best of recent episodes. A lot of insinuations about ways things could play out. I actually found myself sitting on the proverbially edge of the couch seat.

I'm glad this week's episode was shorter. I don't think my heart or mind could have taken it!
