Game Day: @BSU
We are a 2 1/2 point underdog. line opened 4 1/2 points. I think Vegas reads this board. There on our bandwagon.
I think Vegas 'gets it'. There are about a half dozen teams which are very, very evenly matched and we and BSU are two of them.

OK, time for predictions. We have the revenge factor in our favor, but this is on the road and I think we are only 1-7. All teams are working to play their best basketball heading into the tournament. So without further ado:
My Heart:
EMU 75
BSU 72
My Head:
BSU 72
EMU 71

RE: Game Day: @BSU
Predictions at half time, two predictions per game, what's next? Predictions in the last two minutes of the game?

I'm guessing the Luckey one studied econ in college.
They are the greatest fence sitters in the world: "The U.S. economy continues to grow at a modest rate, helped by low oil prices, low inflation, low unemployment, strong consumer spending and should continue so in 2016, HOWEVER, if oil prices do not rebound, there could be spillover in the financial sectors with defaults. HOWEVER, we do not think this is too likely, NEVERTHELESS, some caution is warranted..."
This is hypothetical (I wrote it) but econs, financial analysts are noted for have sore crotches for spending too much time sitting on the fence...
They never found a fence they didn't want to straddle...

RE: Game Day: @BSU
For those who think Saturdays should be full of basketball:
1). EMU @ BSU 2:00
2). WMU @ NIU 4:30 A WMU win would really, really be helpful.
3). CMU @ TOL 7:00 We hold an undeniable tie breaker over CMU. Root for TOL to beat CMU and hope we tie with Central for 8th place?
I need to think through: EMU beats BSU, EMU beats NIU, EMU loses to TOL.
What are the chances of capturing 8th place and the last home court advantage?
That scenario has the possibility of multiple teams tieing and with tie tie breakers. We would have split with both NIU and TOL.

If we finish 9-9, the chances are pretty high for a home game. CMU finishes @Toledo, @BSU, WMU...that's pretty tough. Could see them going 1-2. In the case of NIU, we could really use a WMU win today. Reminder that NIU and Toledo would hold a tie breaker over us with a split, assuming Akron wins the MAC (they both beat Akron). We have the 2-0 record against CMU, and BSU didn't beat any of the top teams out west. Those are our best tie breaker chances, but I highly doubt BSU loses out.
So really, we just need to win the winnable games we have left and I think we will be ok. Today is one of those. Beat a team that you should've beat the first time.

Start buying tickets for CMU @ EMU, Monday March 7?

WMU or CMU at home would be the ideal match up for EMU. The thought of beating CMU three times in a season is fantastic.

I believe we did 2 years ago. Had that home game against CMU to start the tourney and Karrington Ward went off and hit four-straight 3s in the 2nd half.

Well Sam, if the game is close, I may have to wait for a few seconds remaining in the game for my final prediction LOL.

Ball State has really improved in attendance. For as long I've been watching MAC basketball they've had some of the smallest crowds (along with us and NIU).

Better yet, predict the technicals.
These officials are simply whistle happy (when they aren't swallowing their whistles).

Thompson showing his immaturity, not only with the technical, but before as he sulks on his way back on defense. Can't let 1 turnover or missed shot affect you like that.
