RE: UAB, FIU and FAU Beach Volleyball to be founding members of CCSA
As for the league itself, this is pretty cool. Good group of 8 schools who probably have talent in the sport in more ways than one.... Could be fun to watch at some point if anything is ever one tv. I like FAU/FSU together for something. The basketball game will be fun too.

Take it up with the press release.
So you change the title because of someone's sensitivities but leave the incorrect information.

They are like identical twins that people can't tell apart. One of you guys needs to grow a mustache or something.
I remember them as F_U because the ESPN.com bottom 10 did that years ago when both were languishing in the Sun Belt.

We have heard through the grapevine that our second of 3 Title IX additions to offset football will be beach volleyball. So far women's golf is the only official future addition. Our AD was high on competitive cheer becoming a Title IX qualified sport since we already have a competitive team, but doesn't look like the powers that be are going to move forward with it qualifying for Title IX.

I get the confusion on your part. But, FIU has been much better at Basketball than FAU the past few years. Also, FIU got into the CUSA first. Finally, do you confuse UTEP and UTSA?

saying we are a founding member of CCSA, a conference that started in 2008, is not factual. that's not nitpicking.

Do you also confuse USC and UCLA? they're from the same town. Or are you just lazy?
FIU has 55,000 students and sits in the middle of Miami-Dade Co. (a county that by population is larger than 16 states and by geography larger than two (RI and DE)). It has a medical school and hospital, a law school and one of the best architectural schools in the state.
FAU on the other hand is a "distributed university" which has seven campuses across parts of the Gold and Treasure Coasts (which stretches across five counties). They have notable partnerships with Scripps for research and UM for medicine.
Maybe this will help you out a little bit.
And FAU is a leader in marine biology and other studies dealing with ocean research... And a great accounting and business school.
There are big differences.
The National Hurricane Center sits on FIU's campus....you're up.

Ok this couldn't be more wrong.
We are not a ''Distributed University'' Yes we have other campuses but over 90 percent of the student body attended Boca a couple of the distributed campuses have less then 100 students and some of those only take a class or so at that campus. ( Like the Davie campus claims to have 3k students but, no one is full time there and take the rest of their classes in Boca)
Also we are not parented with UM that ended like three years ago and we have our own medical school.
FIU on the other hand has 45k Undergrad and 600 less beds for on campus (this does not include the partnerships FAU'S has with the large off campuses housing companies that are off 20th street)

You're own site calls Florida Atlantic a distributed university located on seven campuses spread across Palm Beach, Broward, and St. Lucie counties and that 70% or approx. 19k are students at the Boca campus. The Davie campus has 13% of the student body and 6% are distant learners.
Also, two housing towers were built on the north side of SW 8th St. which are generally not included in the on-campus housing numbers.

Seriously! Drop women's bowling and add this. Build I nice court and stands down by Lake Reneau with a beer garden. I would buy season tickets.
