Congrats on your once every 10 years great season. We'll see how you do this year without Cole Stoudt gifting you three interceptions, including two pick sixes.

I love fantasies, because they make reality so unnecessary...

Good luck finding something to read about. There is literally no information out there.

Nope -- actually makes lots of sense if you think outside the box.

We will have to wait and see. I think he could happen, if the annual income increases significantly for Notre Dame.

But it is fun to speculate. Much better to speculate about this than hearing Clemson and FSU fans bleating about leaving.

RE: Notre Dame to join ACC football
Don't believe for a second ND will join the ACC in football.
Already doubt we see an ACC Network WITH significant revenue.......but starting to believe it is HIGHLY unlikely after Swoffords latest deflections (after telling FSU BOT it would happen and soon a few years ago).
IF by some miracle ND did join, the ACC would be foolish to add Navy....they add NOTHING but dead weight to the conference. ACC would be intelligent to wait for a bigger fish.....no matter what, it HAS to be a football add at the VERY least, someone who is investing in football in a competitive rate. That all said, I would expect the ACC to add Navy.
What really happens? In 5 years we will still be hearing about how the ACC is still research conference networks (or the ACC decided a web presence with no revenue is our better route.....but still market it is a response to the SEC network) and ND will be no where near closer to joining the ACC in football.

If Notre Dame comes in and Navy for FB only is asked...it would work. We could offer UConn a partial and a scheduling agreement in FB...along with offering a membership to Gtown/Nova or SJU (just 1 of these 3) to make it a 16/17. hybrid.
If UConn takes the offer...give them a contract for X (maybe like 7-10 years) amount of years to elevate their FB. They could leave after 7-10 years with no penalty.

You do realize you're placing your hopes on the jaded thoughts of one member of our resident jaded FSU/Clemson/theACCsucks contingent, right...?

No, I would never do that! :) (Although I can identify with jaded people)
I am placing my hopes on Father Jenkins, Jack Swarbrick, the ND Board of Trustees, influential boosters, and on alumni and fans who don't want ND football to ever join a conference.

As an admitted resident jaded FSU/Clemson/theACCsucks contingent member.......I don't think the ACC sucks just because I refuse to be convinced.
I want to see the ACC work, I want to see FSU stay in the ACC (in the right circumstance), I am just over empty promises, status quo leadership, the refusal to change, and an overall refusal of the members to join the rest of the Power 5.
The ACC has one foot in and one foot out and IMHO it is only a matter of time before the ACC is poached and because the next Big East.

So you must hate that the B1G is a hybrid too? and SEC schools are associate members of other conferences?
Heck the ACC is a hybrid right now.
