EMU offers Greg Elliott 6'3 guard out of Detroit East English Prep for 2017.

http://verbalcommits.com/players/greg-elliott

Also a top 10 in some Michigan rankings.

O/T, but Oakland got James Beck (2017) a top 10 SG in MI from Grand Rapids.

Lot of action happening among the better SGs in MI for the 2017 recruiting class...

So far, Beachler (CMU), Beck (OU) and Epps (EMU) are off the board..

Just in case any EMU coaches read this forum. ;-)

Sounds like a transfer from Siena (D.C. area player) who would look good at EMU or a number of other mid-major schools...

Damn, it seems now that all of Murphy's offers hit the Internet...

Think I counted 7 (!) offers to h.s. point guards on Verbalcommits.com

While we are on PGs for 2017 and beyond:

I believe NEXT season we have only one PG on the roster, Jackson, the transfer.

Assuming we have two scholarships to give, say Epps (SG) PLUS a PG.

Assume Jermaine Jackson signs with his father's team, UDM.

That leaves Michael Flowers and Amauri Hardy as MI h.s. prospects.

Bumping this up...

P.S. I think PG is a major need behind transfer sitout Jackson.

I would agree, too bad we didn't land Flowers.

BTW, the following is the list of 2017/18 players as I assume it to be:

PG: Jackson (transfer),

SG): Terry Harris (transfer), Epps (h.s. Wayne, MI).

SF: Bond, Groce

C/PF : JT4, Madray, Minnie, LWH, Steele

SF/PF: Nobles

That comes to 11, if my counting is correct.

Lot of the PF/C are interchangeable.

So, I agree with '79, that two more guards, one PG, one SG would seem ideal.

Mentions EMU and Oakland as being "interested".

Interesting that we'd recruit a kid from Vegas...

He does appear to be a designated 3-point shooter type.

That is correct. He did, however, transfer to EMU from a JUCO in WYO.

Two of our DL come from Dodge City CC, wonder if we look at the hoops program:

2017 Dodge City CC forward, Josh Boutte, has offers from Florida Gulf Coast, UNC Wilmington, UTEP, SEMO, Jacksonville St & Robert Morris
