Does this really surprise anyone?
No
Surprise me - why the heck should they bottom teams?
Outside of a couple teams, the aac is terrible this year. We will be very, very lucky to get more than 1 bid.
SMU looks like a legitimate tournament team, and also scheduled a very challenging OOC schedule, which the committee will view favorably. I think UCONN can also make it by beating up everyone in conference play, and also getting one game against SMU to get us at least one quality win on the resume. Everyone else, I think it's wait till next year.

RE: 12/20 AAC Games
I think we will get 2-3 still SMU,UConn and UC might make it depending how they react to Cronin being out.
But the league is recruiting better.
USF has two four stars big guys coming next year as well as a big SF from JUCO and a 4 star PG transfer from Maryland that's seating out this year.
So you look at USF this year and maybe one starter could be starting next year.
