MWC or AAC or P5 for BYU
Am I just reading to much into this Bowl agreement, or is it significant that BYU picked an AAC bowl to commit to rather than a MWC one?
If BYU decided that it needed to join a conference, are they a lock for a P5 conference? If not, would the MWC or AAC work best for them for in football.

Yes, you are reading too much into it. Its just a one year commitment as far as we know. They have other agreements in the west.

my opinion byu has a open invitation to the P5 with restrictions, if byu was desperate enough to join a conference theyd hit the big 12, accept the new rules and move on
and yes you're reading too much into it, byu also has bowl contracts the mwc for 2016 and 2018

BYU has a national following. It's my understanding that it's the church leaders, the church mission, and those requirements that are keeping BYU out of the P5. Otherwise they'd already be riding the P5 juggernaut.

I would agree. The Big 12 is the most likely destination since they fit into the framework. BYUtv could live on just like the Longhorn channel for lower tier rights. Makes logical sense outside of having 1 team in the west and 1 team in the east with the bulk in the central U.S.
