Great schedule for the Rockets
I griped about this before - but let me do it again. Toledo has 4 of their first 5 games on the road. I could not go to Eastern Washington game - so the next time they play at home is.....OCTOBER 5TH. Then they have a bye week and play at home against Navy on October 19th. Then not home again until November 2nd - which is their last home game on a Saturday. They get to play on a Tuesday night against Buffalo, then the following Wednesday night against NIU. 4 home games on a Saturday for the entire year. 4 home games until November 2nd.

That is partly the problem of scheduling the big boys - because you will not play at home - except if a school like Missouri will actually honor a 2 for 1 or even a 1 for 1.

Not very good for the fans. I plan on going to CMU and BG - so I will get to see a fair number of games, but weekday nights are virtually out of the question. I would not get home until around 1:30am.

NIU has only 3 Saturday home games this year and only 1 of them in September. Not only that the AD agreed to a road game in Moscow, Idaho playing an Indy that will be transitioning to FCS soon. 03-banghead

But then again, road games aren't all bad when you play 2 B10 teams, beat one already and should beat the other by 10.

RE: Great schedule for the Rockets
Of course in 2014 Rockets have:
8/30 New Hampshire
9/6 Mizzou
9/13 @UCinn
9/20 @Iowa State
MAC Homegames:
BGSU
Ball State
CMU
Crossover
MAC Road:
@WMU
@NIU
@EMU
@Crossover

Nice home schedule for the Rockets. I would like to see an early October date for BGSU, CMU for homecoming, and hope to draw some BSU fans for a November weeknight game in the GB.

Ohio would be a great home crossover game. And I wouldn't mind @UMass. Would be a nice road trip.

I'm with you on the UMass game. Boston is a great city.

You're not the only one. Love the OOC schedule, but the "home" schedule sucks. I guess that's the tradeoff.

Hopefully the next time the Rockets are in the GB it won't snowing!
