It did. And I found it to be the perfect example of fallacies Fitbud posts.

Anyway..... There is no downside to the Fountains.
- Twin Peaks, Nordstrom Rack, and a few others ARE new retailers, which makes this a gain in retailers in this market
- The old Farah building was an eyesore that is gone (and on prime real estate).
- As Mista stated, the buildings Barnes n Noble, and Best Buy leave behind will be used by someone else. And there will be a domino-effect in property occupancy.
- The Fountains Shopping Center value increases tax revenue.
- Along with the Outlet Mall, Las Palmas, and other new shopping areas, it attracts some folks into town. That WOULD BE new money- not ALL of it... But there is a marginal increase.

I'm sure there are more reasons, but he can try to dismiss one or two of these gains. But he can't dismiss them all.

I agree with you 100%. I never said that there would not be anything positive that would come out of the Fountains or the Ballpark.

My stance has always been however that it would be, as you put it, a "marginal effect".

Yes, some people might come visit these places and spend their money here but the vast majority of the money spent in these places will be from the area.
