GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida coach Ron Zook was fired Monday but will finish the season while the university searches for his replacement.

After two-plus years and a stack of embarrassments, athletic director Jeremy Foley satisfied a growing groundswell for Zook’s ouster that literally began the day he replaced Steve Spurrier.

I was happy to see the Dawgs beat the gaytors, but I hate to see Zook go. I was hoping he could hang around until Bama played them again. 03-lol
