Glad Rotney didn't light it up against us a few years ago.

Rotnei is the FN man. He just needed a good supporting cast.

Our eventual opponent Georgia Southern upset Va Tech 78-73 in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Tonight on ESPNU is the MS State @ Loyola-ILL game. That brings back old memories of my final year of college in 1963. One of those things was MS State winning the 1963 SEC and getting a bid to the NCAA. Since it was against MS law for a white team (as MS State was then) to play an integrated team, the state tried to block the school from participating. I don't remember just how they did it but the team literally had to sneak out of the state almost like an "Underground runaway" and went to Chicago for the tournament. They lost the semifinal game to eventual champion Loyola 61-51. So much happened during that year that this story largely got lost in the mix.

Even though your ramblings has nothing to do with the thread, I figured you might find this new book interesting.

Thank you for the info on that book. I did not know about it. BTW, I think more than one poster on this thread strayed from its topic. !963 was quite a year for Americans.
