Charles Greenhill was rated the number one recruit in the country. Crawford was rated the number one running back in the country.

Stan might be the greatest recruit we ever had Bert. Also appeared in more Memphis Baseball games than any person ever. And he had a special charm with the ladies. Stan The Man!

Xavier Crawford as rated the number one football recruit in the country according to this:

http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/insider/n...%3d6080272

Basically said he shouldn't have stayed in Memphis and should of went to Ole Miss

Willie Henderson was a 5 star while committed to UT but dropped to 4 stars when he changed to us on signing day. Greg Hinds was the number 1 player out of MS and number 5 athlete in the country and was also a 5 star until he signed with us then dropped to 4 stars. Now that we have the "label" if we sign any more 5 star players they should get to stay five stars.

This almost sounds like a joke, but sadly is all to true.

This might sound strange but MT.org has hurt us with recruiting rankings because our school never developed a rivals or scout prescense due to MT.org. If our entire board was posting at Rivals or Scout we would have much better "rankings".

I posted this in another thread but it fits with this discussion as well.

Good catch. Completely forgot about Justin, and he actually kept 5 stars even after signing. Rivals had him as a 4 star.
