Anyone seen some of the new promos for season 2? Apparently there are several new characters this season.

I can't wait! I wish The Walking Dead would run right up to the Season Premier for Falling Skies. the gap between them will be terrible.

June 17th is the actual premier. Its on a Sunday. Thats 2 weeks and 3 days. Not that Im counting or anything.

Also, DVD for season 1 goes on sale on Tuesday, I must get one.

Yes.

Season 2 begins tonight with the first 2 episodes beginning at 8:00

Where we left off: For reasons unknown to anyone watching the series Tom got onto a spaceship of an invading murderous alien race who enslaves children and turns them into the likeness of the aliens because they threatened to call his son Ben back to them.

We learned at the end of season 1 that the skitters themselves were harnessed and subservents to an alien race of tall gray people (because aliens look cool in gray) Our outlaw gangster Pope has discovered a way to manufacture bullets that can pierce those very large robot things.

What we know about season 2: TNT released the comic book a couple weeks ago that covers the time between the end of season 1, and when season 2 picks up. A little over a month has passed, and there is no sign of Tom Mason. The 2nd Mass has been on the run ever since the events of the season 1 finale. However, the skitters have begun to catch up to them, and the millitia has been forced to go to ground, hiding in any large buildings they can find to avoid being seen by a Skitter force that is closing in by the seconds. In the time inbetween, Hal taught Ben how to shoot, and Ben, who still hears little skitter static in his head, tries to prove that he isnt an alien by using his alien given abilities to murder aliens.

I do believe that covers everything. I am curious to see how they write this whole Spaceship experience in for Tom, who previews have returning, after the aliens performedd evil experiments on him.

Ben accidentally shoots Tom, then we get a flashback to his days as an alien prisoner.

Aliens go all Nazi Germany on Tom and offer to allow Humans a set of land to live in peace, in exchange for sanctuary.

Aliens seem to have researched every famous dark event in human history. They took prisoner one person from every militia around the world and interrogated them to try and get them to agree to this sanctuary concept. Tom actually attacked the aliens during his.

When none would cooperate, they were set free, only to be immediately gunned down, all except Tom whom the aliens choose to let live.

Tom was dropped off in Lansing, Michigan, and begins walking for weeks trying to get back to Boston. He saves a girl from a looter and lets her come with him on her bike.

Episode 2:

We find out officially that Scott died, and Ricky could not put up to life without a skitter and died. That answers which characters wont be returning for season 2.
