That comes from his demeanor and his going up into the stands to confront an obnoxious fan on one past occasion. If a coach wants to get opposing fans into the game all he has to do is to react to their comments. I recall being at a La Tech game in Ruston many years ago, and a guy was giving it really good to Wimp. But his son kept him from reacting. If he had, it would have gotten the fans more involved. Steve is a very intense guy, and he sometimes allows his emotions to get the best of him. You can get away with that at home, but not on the road.
