Im getting nervous about how this class finishes up.(always do) We have 15 commits as of now and we will probably finish with 22 or so. Im pretty sure they have signed some JCs, but they have not been listed. IMO, other MAC West teams are having good years; BSU,UT,BG. Would like to see 2 JC DTs,CB and an OLineman and a pleasant surprise from FLA.

Don't be nervous, my guess is we end up with 26 recruits so we still have a lot to fill. Will be a big class as some schollys had been carried over.

What ever happened to that offensive lineman who was going to transfer to NIU from Illinois?

how do you know we have 15 verbals??

ESPN is reporting 15, I am assuming we have MORE and that the more is 3 or 4 JCs.

Yes
No one is for sure until signing day.

With as pass happy as the MAC is, LB is a tough position to play and a difficult position to recruit for since you have to not only be able to play the run but be able to cover backs out of the backfield and occassionally the TE. The 5 players I highlighted in the previous post are among the fastest and strongest in the nation who have not committed yet and they're from MN, IA & KS. Any or all would look good in Cardinal & Black.

No luck on any of the JuCo's being in the directory yet. Does anyone know how frequently this is updated?

What is the last day you can transfer to NIU from a CC for this semester?

I am hoping the reason we have not gotten word about any JuCo's joining is because they are down 2 coaches and the staff doesn't have time for a press conference.

After having verballed to Indiana last year, then verballed to LSU on 12/27/11 QB Gunnar Kiel has today enrolled at Notre Dame.

Not that we had a shot but David Smith RB from Midlothian, Illinois to Oklahoma.

The dearth of recruiting news is driving me crazy. I am reduced to examining other MAC schools' commit lists. Interesting to note that every single CMU commit is from Michigan or Illinois. They seem to have forsaken Florida completely and adopted the Joe Novak recruiting methodology. Contrast with WMU who always gets a good complement of Florida players.

None of the JuCos (on rivals) that have an offer (3) from us or that are interested in us (3) are in the student directory yet. I am guessing that they wont be here this semester now...

Fortunately Patrick Hughes is not enrolled at Hawaii either. I did however find one enrolled at ASU but their major was anthropology or something like that so making a stereotypical assumption I don't think that is him. He also did not have an offer from ASU but still showed interest.

I could not find a directory for Texas St as he has an offer there too and they will start to play in FBS this year.
