License to Kill/ dvd
--I liked this Bond more later on than I did initially. Sanchez was a great villain.

How bad is "Hot Tub Time Machine 2", when even John Cusack passed on the script.

I really ejoyed the 1st one. I can remember watching it n the theaters and laughing so hard that I couldn't breathe.

The trailers for the new one looks horrible.

I thought the first one was ok...caught it on Netflix. I couldn't see the potential for a sequel though.

Oh crap I forgot about this thread!

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)

-A very good film that has held up amazingly well over the years. Sure, the acting is, well, overrated (the style of silent films) but the film had a legitimately creepy vibe going on and a heck of a twist ending. 9/10

The Bicycle Thieves

-Excellent portrayal of a man vs. the world movie. The little boy was an amazing actor. Due to personal beliefs, I disliked how the movie ended, but it was a brilliant ending. 8/10

Happy Together

A story of a fighting gay couple. If this was a movie with a heterosexual it would be considered unremarkable for its content. I felt sympathy for the abused man in the relationship but I got tired of his constant second chances for his partner. 6/10

Friday the 13th / NF
Friday the 13th Part 2 / NF
--I got the series on dvd but did the NF stream for simplicities sake. The first two along with 1-2 others in the series are pretty good movies. One thing that kind of got me this time around was how come in 1 there are obvious cut scenes where it is a man, and not Mrs. Voorhies, doing the killing so was this just bad editing or did she have a helper... I mean, at the end that should be her drowned son coming out of the water right? Granted they never said what happened to Mr. Voorhies. In the 2nd one another thing struck me as odd. Given the time frame from 1 to 2, how did a child Jason in the lake become a MAN, and "nature boy" at that, to keep on haunting the woods?

Skyfall/BR
--One of my favorite Bonds.

Octopussy/dvd
--I liked it.

Kung Fu Panda 2/BR
--Liked it better than the first one. The villain was more menacing IMO.

RE: The movie thread
Fury- Netflix DVD- I was gearing up for a good war flick.. I felt let down. The action was great and the story was ok, I felt like it missed something and then there's the awkward scene when they're all at dinner with the two women. I don't know, I kinda felt let down. Too much blood and gore and use of the f-word, and not enough meat for me I guess.

Pitch Black- DVD- I recorded Riddick the other night and wanted to refresh myself with the original 2 movies. So I watched Pitch Black. I forgot how awesome a character like Riddick truly is. "I'm Richard B. Riddick. Escaped felon and murder."

Odd, I've heard from a lot of folks that Fury is great.

I haven't seen Pitch Black in forever... only thing that stood out to me was his eyes and he was a murdered but I forgot everything else about the movie.

I thought all three Pitch Black movies (Pitch Black, Chronicles of Riddick, & Riddick) were good although the series is very underrated just like the Underworld series.

I got that box set on BR a year ago, I liked most of the movies in it.

On "Riddick series"

What story do they play out? I forgot a lot about Pitch Black and never saw the other two.

Basically it follows this guy named Riddick. In Pitch Black they're on a planet and he's locked up in chains until he convinces them he can help. We discover that he can see in the dark and he's basically a bad man.

Chronicles of Riddick he's being hunted down by a race of folks and he eventually takes the fight to him. He also finds out where he comes from.

Dr. Strange (animated)/ NF
---Kind of cool but I didn't find it that interesting to want more.

Hulk and the Agents of SMASH/NF
--Finished season 1--like it.

Goldeneye/dvd
--Brosnan's best Bond overall.

Ninja Scroll/dvd
--just a bad ass sci fi anime with demon ninjas!

King Arthur/dvd
--good movie with a different spin on the King Arthur tale(s). A pretty big time cast in it if you ask me.

I enjoyed this flick as well. I thought it was a throwback to the Pierce Bronson era of Bond films.

The female ninja of the Koga? He had to hit it to save himself from Dagobah(sp?)'s poison throwing star.

Hated "Gone Girl." I'll explain but you'll have to scroll down to avoid any spoilers.

Ending was a total bust. After all the twists throughout the movie, I expected one final twist but got....nothing. No imagination. Nothing. Period. End of movie.
