LYNCHBURG, Va. - Junior forward Keyon Carter (Riviera Beach, FL.) scored a career-high tying 17 points to lead the Monarchs of Old Dominion (3-0) to a 73-41 win over Liberty University Thursday evening.

The 17 points by Carter equaled last year's output against William & Mary and The Citadel. The junior was seven-for-eight from the floor and a perfect three-for-three from beyond three-point range.

At one stretch, Carter had scored more points than the Flames.

The game marked the third 30-plus margin of victory in as many games for the Monarchs. Marsharee Neely (Greensboro, NC.) added 11 points and Gerald Lee hauled down eight rebounds in the win. The Monarchs shot .508 (31-61) from the field, while holding the Flames to a .277 (13-47) shooting night. Old Dominion also dominated the boards, 42-28.
