This article from a Nevada paper sure is getting a lot of talk. It is a very detailed and thorough description of Padgett's recruiting process. It is everything we wanted to know and didn't know about Padgett's decision.
Among other quotes, these just leave a bad taste in my mouth and turn my stomach into knots:
</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"> “I definitely thought for a while I would go to North Carolina,” Padgett said. </font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"> </font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"> .“(North Carolina was leading) probably until about Tuesday morning, when he made his mind up (to choose Kansas),” said Pete Padgett.</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"> </font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">North Carolina might have been the leader, in his mind, for longer than a lot of people might suspect. </font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Looks like Matt and his staff did everything humanly possible, and that we had Padgett. But at the last minute, Padgett decided to go with Roy. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
Sorry guys, I hate to dwell on this for so long, but it just nags at me.....
