cabana boy blue Wrote:lol, glad I 'm getting to you.... think about it . like I said before it is not my fault or Hawaii's fault that your conference means ZIP, NADA, Nothing. It is not my fault and Hawaii's fault that ESPN disagrees with what your OPINIONS are lol. :ownd:  It is still a fact that the Hawaii Bowl and regular seasons games are sill the highest rated on ESPN,
Again, where is your proof? All you've offered is that we should trust you. Until you offer any actual PROOF, all we have are your ramblings -- the ramblings of a middle schooler drunk on fruity coconut drinks with frilly umbrellas.
Quote:lol sorry that your conference/team means nothing. lol it is not my fault that you conference has no integrity, it is just the way you people are. It is not my fault , the Hawaii bowls fault and ESPN's fault that Akron meant ZIP to them, it is just a reflection of your conference.
Hate to tell you, but the WAC is as insignificant as the MAC. Last year the MAC had a top 10 team. This year the WAC does. Next year, another mid-major probably will. The fact that Hawaii can't even win that conference more than twice in their entire affiliation with the WAC tells me even more what a piss-poor average team they really are, and how the only way they win is to play at home, and the only bowl games they've ever -- EVER -- played in are really home games disguised as bowl games.
That, my friend, is bush league.
Quote:lol the following response from one of your conference fans says it all:
"let me ask you this: is Hawaii suing Akron over a breech of contract? If not, well, guess what, chief: either you have the world's most incompetent in-house counsel at the University of Hawaii, or Akron DID fulfill the terms of the contract, and you should grow up. "
lol , yes Akron did the full terms of the contract that is why they cancelled the game a few months before the season....
Obviously either you don't understand a thing about contracts as I had described them (not really unexpected, since they generally don't teach contract law in seventh grade, and such concepts are probably hard enough to comprehend when you are drunk out of your gourd on froofy hawaiian drinks) OR you are so set on feeling offended that you are willing to overlook the not-so-subtle nuances of contracts.
Quote:lol are you really this ignorant,
Again, I pause for quiet irony....
Quote:you statement says it all, lol lets sue everyone, I guess that is how you people need to handle things because it happens everyday with you folks ... further proof that you guys were brought up by wolves, what kind of values did your parents teach you?
We all know by now that reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, but let's go slowly here and recap what I said:
1. Did Hawaii and Akron sign a LEGALLY BINDING contract to play a football game (presumed answer: yes, since games are not generally announced without a signed contract)
2. Did Akron cancel out of the game with Hawaii? (yes)
3. Did Akron do so without getting sued by Hawaii? (yes)
So this raises one final question -- granted it's two parts, so don't let that throw you, but here it is: Did Hawaii not sue Akron because they are happy to not reclaim that which Akron rightly owed them OR Did Hawaii not sue Akron because Akron did what was required by the BUYOUT CLAUSE found in the game contract?
I'll wait for you to finish your daiqiri as you contemplate the answer; just get back to me with something besides a string of lol's that you seem to think are your most persuasive arguments.
Quote:EVERYONE knows why AKRON cancelled the game... lol, they knew they would get their ares handed to them so instead of getting embarrased they cancelled... lol yup that shows high integrity.... :ownd:
I'm sorry, I didn't realize that you had a seat inside the University of Akron's football offices and have authoritative knowledge on their reasons for canceling a contract.
Quote:lol last thing for you to think about .... No matter what your think, say, etc.
AKRON was still the only bowl eligible team that was not invited to a bowl and Hawaii was...... lol that shows how much respect your conference has, nuff said.
lol, lol, lol, lol, lol, lol,
And Hawaii was still the only team that couldn't get a bowl bid from any other bowl besides their hometown bowl, and that was only because their bowl organizers knew that they couldn't possibly get two schools to bring more than a handful of fans to the islands to take a financial bath on a minimum payout bowl. In fact, Hawaii, in its great and storied history has never participated in any other bowl besides one located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
I repeat: I have no love for Akron. But you should go back to your cabana boy duties and see if you can steal a few more drinks from your tourist clients. It's obvious you're out of your league here.

A quick message board lesson: how do you know your arguments are weak and worthless?
You feel the need to use useless emoticons and piss-poor pidgen insults in place of a cogent argument.
