2018 ODU BASEBALL - The Flagship - 02-15-2018 06:32 PM
Season starts tomorrow, Friday 2/16
Looks like we are going with three new weekend starters.
Wilson not scheduled after an injury ended what was a brilliant first half of the season last year. Not sure if he is healthy yet, but if he is scheduled to be a weekday starter, that would be tremendous.
Not expecting the team to be as good as last year, but should be competitive.
I'll set the O/U at 30 wins.

Not that the A-10 is a power conference in baseball, but St. Louis is the preseason favorite so it'd be a nice win to start the season.

And "surviving" their top starter is also good. He was 8-3 with a 2.70 ERA last year.

That's at least the third loss by a walk-off hit-by-pitch in just over 3 seasons dating back to the 2014 NCAAT game against Maryland where we had a 1 run lead in the ninth and, after allowing the bases to be loaded, proceeded to plunk the next two batters to lose by 1.

Iowa today.
Finished 4th in B1G regular season last year and won the B1G tournament (B1G ranked 7th last year, just behind CUSA). Won a lot of close games last year, like us.
Not sure what graduation did to their team. Need to win this to make this Florida trip successful.
