Flynn should have told the FBI to pound sand. From what I recall though, they were leaning on his son and he decided to fall on his sword to save the kid. Farkin' witch hunt. I hope some heads roll.

New theory is Flynn lied on purpose to open Pandoras box. White hat setup.

That and the strange recusal by Sessions.

Way too early to talk about a pardon for Obama.

I've seen that theory bounced around for months. It seems to be getting more mainstream traction now.

Sessions recusing himself was baffling to me, but would one of you guys lay out the logic for Flynn to do that?

As the article suggests, many in DC who know far more about all of this than I, aren't even sure Flynn lied in the first place. He's on day 2 or 3 in his new office and is informed by his scheduler that the FBI wants to meet with him. "Fine, send 'em" kinda moment. He doesn't know he's being investigated for anything and they don't tell him. WTF is that?

Anyway, someone splain me the White Hat angle, what was in it for him. Trump tossed out of office? I'm not connecting the dots.

Interesting.

I was not aware that the White House made the claim that the Obama admin approved the Flynn phone call.

Today, somewhere, I believe I saw something to the effect that Susan Rice claimed "Obama was really concered about Flynn as some sort of national security risk", or something along those lines. Sounded like some sort of self-serving comment, much like her email to herself as she left office.

Now I understand what the White Hat comment was about. Supposedly Flynn was falling on his sword for Trump. Initially I thought they were saying he had something to do with trying to help Obama, and harm Trump, which made no sense to me.

I do agree that it would be foolish for the White House to claim the Obama admin knew about and approved the phone caill if that was really not the case and there was no way to prove the claim.
