Ruth Bader Ginsburg: 'Sexism' and a 'macho atmosphere' doomed Hillary Clinton - CrimsonPhantom - 02-11-2018 05:15 PM

Quote:Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said Sunday "sexism" and a "macho atmosphere" helped doom Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.

"I think it was difficult for Hillary Clinton to get by even the macho atmosphere prevailing during that campaign, and she was criticized in a way I think no man would have been criticized," Ginsburg said during a discussion at Columbia University.

The liberal-leaning associate justice, who is 84 years old, shared a stage with CNN reporter Poppy Harlow and took a long pause before continuing.

"I think anyone who watched that campaign unfold would answer it the same way I did: Yes, sexism played a prominent part," she said.

Harlow had asked Ginsburg to clarify her statement late last year to Charlie Rose, then a journalist at PBS, that sexism "no doubt" contributed to Clinton's loss. Rose left PBS in November after facing sexual misconduct allegations.

Despite arguing that in 2016 sexism kept Clinton from the presidency, Ginsburg said Sunday she believes the country is ready for a female president.

"I think we were and will be the next time. Anyway, we should be careful about not getting me too much into the political arena," she said.

If not for Bill Clinton's machoism and sexism and Hillary's enablement, maybe she would have won.

She didn't get nearly the criticism she deserved. That Ginsburg doesn't see that indicates that her mind and objectivity are gone. She should retire.

Yea I've said that for a year now. Hillary lost cause she ain't got balls. Not because she was a horrible candidate.

Appears Ginsburg is now getting the talking points in year two. HRC will be the candidate again in 2020. Mark it down. Too much noise for it not to be.

Ginsburg didn't retire in 2014 or 2015 because she thought Hillary would win, and she wanted her replacement chosen by Clinton. Stupid and selfish move. She claims she's in good health and will try to make it through Trump's whole term but I have my doubts (especially if he makes it to a 2nd term).

We'll have a female president by 2032 at the latest IMO.

We'll see. Why wouldn't they want to put HRC back up there? Who else they got?

Ruth has her finger on the pulse of American voters. She is deeply in tune with the common voters in the midwest. Deep insights from someone who knows.

Hillary Clinton defeated Hillary Clinton.

I think the Hildebeast will run in 2020, not sure if the Dems will put her up again, they have a boatload of other ones who can lose the general election.

A great white grandpa, a muslim attached at the hip to crazy Loui, a lying wanna be Indian, a full blooded black Congress man who hates white people or good ole socialists Bernie. And maybe chapstick. They got all they need. They just need to figure out which one can bring out the hate Trump voters without any real platform other than kill babies and rejoin the climate crazy crowd.

Ginsberg needs to go. She can't even remember to pretend to be unbiased anymore.

Pulse on America? She's barely got a pulse on her. It's time for that old version of Joy Behar to retire...or die if she doesn't want to retire. Isn't that how it works? Unless you're a conservative then the Libturds help you along to your demise.

Actually, no. She's a leftist. Leftists always look to blame someone, or something else, for their failures. It's really that simple.

Hildebeast might be running for president from a cage.

Props to Ruth for getting her -ism in for the day; I'm sure it will play well on CNN. I didn't read the column but I can confidently say she forgot to add the part about Hillary being a bad candidate. To Ms Ginsburg: there are a number of women or non-white candidates I'd vote for. Get over the race and gender baiting. Sexism...bwahaha.

From her lack of judgement with her comments, she may be in good physical health, but she has already lost it mentally.
