Now if we simply want to talk Tubby's buyout, I've got this figured out. Let's state in our hey-day that we averaged 16K season tickets and we are now struggling to average 6K (average) in attendance. Therefore, a loss of 10K bodies. Let's say those said 10K bodies are willing to pay off the contract and we have 6 years to do it.
What we owe: $9.75M
Years to pay off: 6
Needed per year: $1,625,000
Commitments to pay it off (bodies): 10,000
Commitment per body per year for 6 years: $162.50
Sign me up to commit $162.50 on January 1 of each year for the next 6 years to pay off the contract. Now I need 9999 commitments. Done.

there are several good young coaches out there who could resurrect this...
But...you have to narrow it down some.
You need a coach/salesman as well. Someone LIKE Calipari and Pearl....not necessarily Cal and Pearl themselves.
Who would that be?
I have no clue....they pay people more knowledgeable than I to think through those scenarios.

It doesnt have to be Calipari or it doesnt have to be Penny. Folks throw these names out there cause they feel as if they would stack the deck with talent. Maybe. But it doesnt take 6 NBA prospects to be a top 25 program. Most teams only have one prospect, if that. Its many ways to build a team.

To be a champion, the number is 3 as far as NBA players on the team.
That's the general rule of thumb for winning the NC.
