William Jessup @ GCU - Raider_Lope - 01-23-2018 09:23 PM

So, this is the second game in a row where we haven't seen Shaq Carr. Anyone know what's going on? I'm a fan of the hot shooting from behind the arc... but, this is an NAIA team and the mismatches at nearly every position should provide lots of opportunities.

GCU went cold. William Jessup decided to show the world that they can hang with a D1 team. It's a one possession game at the half. 46-43. Ridiculous... Only scored 6 points in the last five minutes of the half. Defense has been horrendous; we gave up 5 or 6 three's to the Warriors. Thunder Dan is fuming... said "there is no good; it's embarrassing" when he was briefly interviewed before heading down to the locker room.

Saw Shaq in street clothes on the bench. Not sure what is up though.

Lopes win 96 to 80. Perhaps their worst defensive effort in several years. I wish Majerle would consider playing zone on these shorter, quicker teams. At least mix it up once in a while to confuse the other team. Sometimes stubborn Dan can be his own worst enemy.

GCU didn't look overly impressive tonight.

However, I think "if" GCU is going to win the WAC in the near future, the line up that will most likely do it will be Milstead at the point, Aidoo (or Finke) at the two, Frayer at the three, Blumbergs at the four, and Lever at the five. They just need another year or two.

I like that line up Pistol. I'd like to see them play together some this season.
