1/11 Bracketology - stever20 - 01-11-2018 12:15 PM Villanova #1 East(#1 overall) in Pittsburgh vs RI/Ohio St rd 2(would suck if was Ohio St) Creighton 6 East in Nashville vs PIG winner(Georgia/Baylor) then North Carolina Seton Hall 5 West in Boise vs Louisiana then Clemson Marquette 10 West in Wichita vs Notre Dame, then Oklahoma Butler 9 South in Pittsburgh vs Florida St, then West Virginia Xavier 3 South in Nashville vs No Kentucky, then TCU/UCLA Marquette 4th last team with a bye(Butler in the 6-9 range) Providence 6th team out right now RE: 1/11 Bracketology - GoldenWarrior11 - 01-11-2018 01:48 PM 4 of the 6 bids are very favorable for a deep run. Marquette's opening matchup against ND would be a treat, IMO. Still miss playing them, not only from the Big East days, but even before that as well. Hopefully, we can get Notre Dame as a partial-annual matchup. Both programs have a ton of tradition and history with one another. RE: 1/11 Bracketology - stever20 - 01-11-2018 02:21 PM I don't know that I'd call 4/6 as having favorable for a deep run. Would say Villanova and Xavier. Seton Hall maybe. But really not Creighton. Get a PIG winner(they have such a good record in the 2nd game)- followed by UNC. Butler and Marquette have pretty much no shot at the sweet 16 with close to road games in rd 2. And for Nova- they would have literally the worst 8/9 opponent of any of them. Other 8/9's- Florida St, Nevada, Texas, St Mary's, or Michigan. We just saw what they did with Michigan St, and they have a coach who knows Nova pretty well(and has fared pretty well). Nova in that draw would be a HUGE Rhode Island fan IMO in rd 1. |
