Which football teams will be good next year? - Limebull - 01-01-2018 06:56 PM

UCF looks like they are returning most of their players, but are getting an entirely new coaching staff.
USF is losing a lot of their starters, going to be a very different team next year.
Temple ended the season really well, they will probably improve.
Memphis has their QB returning so they will be good.
Who else?

Tulane has been building something and Navy is always solid.

ECU, UConn and Cincy need to step up.

If Houston makes the right OC hire they may be the class of the conference. If SMU can plug in some defensive holes with Jucos and make solid OC and DC hires they may factor in the conference race. Tulane will be better. Tulsa cannot possibly be worse than this past season based on recent history. This conference is solid but difficult to predict due to high coaching turnover. For now I think the favorite is probably Memphis due to stability.

I don't know enough about the East teams to make a call, but the West will be pretty wide open from what I know now. If I had to pick a favorite I'd probably go with Houston. Tulsa should be much improved, but we really don't know by how much.

Memphis QB is NOT returning We do have 4 of 5 offensive lineman back and our running backs. We also lose WR Miller.

I still expect Memphis to compete for the West title again.

Memphis loses our QB and top WR (Miller)...pretty much return everyone else of note.

Norvell is leaving a few spots open for JC transfers. Recruiting isn't over yet at the qb position.

BSU brings all but 3 starters back with a junior declaring early.

I've heard several folks say the JuCo ranks are loaded this year...so that's smart

Not sure who will represent the AAC in the 18/19 NY6 bowl but here is my list to who I think is bowling in 18

UCF
USF
Memphis
Houston
Navy
Cincinnati
Tulsa
Temple
UConn
Tulane

Edit: USF and Temple should go bowling also...Total honest mistake for not have them at first.

If we do?....We will be on track to rebuild the mess that was left to him. If not? Run his ass out of Greenville on a rail.

BSU brings all but 3 starters from a team that got embarrassed by Virginia on the ugly blue turf back, with a junior declaring early.

FIFY

Recruits love the blue.

He inherited a mess for sure, but he did nothing to help the situation. A lot of the players he inherited quit on him, he made bad assistant hires, and his arrogant attitude doesn't play when you suck.

I'll have to take your word for it. I acknowledge that almost all of my thought patterns could be very different from those of recruits who are my kids' age.

UConn and Cincinnati going to knock out Temple and USF in the East next year? Why not just throw ECU in there as well.

UH or Memphis out of the west. UCF out of the east. I think UCF wins this conference again, regardless of the new coaching staff. Milton is a freaking stud.

So you think USF will go from back to back 10+ win seasons to not even making a bowl? You do know that Taggart and now Strong recruited their butts off and there is talent in reserve, right? In fact, right now, USF has the #2 class in the entire so called "G5".
