Ok, well that explains it. Maybe we can win. However it’s not good that Nickleberry is likely out because he’s been sick. RE: ***Official Memphis vs LSU Game Thread*** (12/28) - Tiger1983 - 12-28-2017 07:27 AM It will help that Rivers returns to the line up. Nickelberry is young and otherwise healthy. I hope for his and the team’s sake that he recovers quickly. RE: ***Official Memphis vs LSU Game Thread*** (12/28) - Tiger1983 - 12-28-2017 11:06 AM LSU’s leading scorer and top assist man - Tremont Waters - is a 4 star freshman rated 34th best in his class by ESPN. He makes 44.4% of his threes. He is yet another example of the importance of recruiting highly rated players. Fortunately, Martin is a terrfic defender and he will be tasked with guarding Waters. Unfortunately, LSU employs the twin tower strategy by starting 6-11 and 6-10 players. Rebounding is already a problem for us. RE: ***Official Memphis vs LSU Game Thread*** (12/28) - cmt - 12-28-2017 12:14 PM LSU is 83 kenpom Memphis is 164 Their schedule looks like ours, they beat Michigan, they have blown a couple of teams out, we haven't Might be close, we might win RE: ***Official Memphis vs LSU Game Thread*** (12/28) - salukiblue - 12-28-2017 12:16 PM (12-28-2017 11:06 AM)Tiger1983 Wrote: LSU’s leading scorer and top assist man - Tremont Waters - is a 4 star freshman rated 34th best in his class by ESPN. It is Memphis' most successful play on offense, right ahead of drawing a foul. FINALLY GET TO WATCH A GAME RE: ***Official Memphis vs LSU Game Thread*** (12/28) - holyterror - 12-28-2017 01:16 PM So we need Martin to carry the load for us offensively, even as he defends and contains their best player. That’s a lot to ask. That’s a lot to ask. There is no reason someone else cannot guard their best player. Martin gets a lot steals and a few blocks but a great on ball defender he is not...He is a good help defender. He gets beat off the dribble regularly just like our other guards.
