Should the G4 give up football? - Limebull - 12-22-2017 03:06 PM

I mean what's the point? They'll be stuck in obscurity forever...

I'd like to see them go to Canadian league rules to prepare them for after college

Arena football would be more likely and resolve their attendance issues.

No they shouldn't cut FB. Need to start a new division 1 system between FCS 1aa, and FBS 1A Drop 4 or 5 scholarships to save $$. Start 8 team playoff, with all 8 division winners. then keep around 5 or 6 of the bottom rung bowl games.

I think so sadly, most of these G4 schools have no money, no real history, no markets. It is for the best interest of athletics if they all just pack it in and leave the Football to the real programs.

I think they could play in the spring and carve out a nice niche for themselves.

The new XFL will need a feeder league so, no.

Couple days left. Get it out of your systems kids. Time to move on from obsessive small-time trolling. There are bigger fish to fry.

Yeah could say the same for the entire group of 5. It's definitely the kiddie pool

So what's Tulane gonna do then?

Tulane proudly continues to invest in their facilities, they're a fine program and aren't going anywhere.

No one except Alabama and Ohio State should play football.

Yeah, they built that new soccer stadium because of the look of 5,000 fans (on a good night) in the Super Dome, but what else have they done in the way of investing lately?

Ha this person is hilarious. We own New Orleans pal. We aren’t going anywhere except up. Our market is unique and our history is strong. We are not part of the problem, we are part of the solution.

G4 should go to FCS.......give it some real FB.

RE: Should the G4 give up football? - FMRocket - 12-26-2017 01:00 PM

SERIOUSLY ...
Come on, man !!

RE: Should the G4 give up football? - st932253 - 12-26-2017 01:04 PM

Don't need new laws, just need to enforce existing ones.

What's the attendance requirement for FBS?

RE: Should the G4 give up football? - Knightshift - 12-26-2017 01:15 PM

It always makes me laugh when fans of one school(s) think they know what is best for another. If a school chooses to fund an FBS program and lose money and wallow in obscurity, that's their business. Its no skin off of anyone's nose but theirs.

Oh, and you can try this "G4" rhetoric all you like, but if the "G4" ever does get relegated to a new division, we're almost certainly going with them.

The arrogance in this thread astounds me...

I didn't think it had enough arrogance.
