Radford is gonna be extremely tough out. Bobcats have two D1 players and are undefeated this year.
One could argue that GC has two D1 players; Ervin has already signed and Dean will probably get some D1 offers. The difference might be in the other players, etc.
Radford has been consistently good in HS basketball over the years.
Both guys signed with Radford University (one is the son of the College coach)
Radford is a pretty good program, Beat Texas and Notre Dame, lost to UNC-g but not like they are 2 ACC level guys. Ervin is going to Wofford and I could see Dean being a fit for a SoCon or similar level. With his range and playstyle I could even see Wofford being interested. But I would say the rest of starters/bench will tell the tale. Ervin/Dean..... nobody else.
I feel sorry for Dean, next year is probably going to be a long year with lots of teams wanting revenge for the beatings they took last few years from Gate City.
Game vs Radford is Tue at Pulaski County High School in Dublin. Radford is very close so their team/fans will have short trip. Side note: Zac Ervin’s Dad Greg used to coach 9th grade boys at Pulaski High in late 80’s before he became GC head coach.

Radford pulled away in 4th, GC had no answer for Bobcats inside game. Ervin was on fire from 3 but Dean disappeared 2nd half. Ervin could be next Fletcher Macgee for Wofford. I’ve actually think he will make a better college player than McClung.

You all beat me to it. I have a sneaking suspicion we'll be seeing a little bit of that from Ervin as he (at least partially) fills the vacancy of Flopper Magee. [p.s. - I can't believe we thought the exact same thing. I had the above written before I just now saw your reference to Magee, even tho it's now several hours later.]

Ervin was extremely hot in 3rd when hit 5 treys in 3 min span. He had 20 pts in qtr finishing with 35, but not to be outdone Bobcats guard Q had 21 in 4th finishing with 42. Radford was 23-25 of FT’s for game (take note Bucs).

Ervin ended his career with 2,351 points, 9th all time on the VHSL list.
Gate City is the only school with 2 players in the Top 10.
He missed several games this year due to injury, It would
have been cool to see how much higher he could have climbed.
Also Dean scored 708 points this year (24.4ppg)
He has 1,368 for his career. He should easily get
to the 2,000 club next year.
Gate City will have had 3 2,000 point scorers playing
together, wonder if that has been done before?

I'm happy to see Patrick Ewing do well as their coach. I don't think his real character is anything like the bad boy persona he carried as a Hoya player.
